Winter blew into Beaumont School this week! The entire campus is washed in white as we usher in February. On Monday, we announced that Beaumont is now officially an International Baccalaureate World School! This follows three years of intense application and professional development in order to meet the stringent criteria associated with the IB program. Next year’s juniors will be the first to be eligible for the International Baccalaureate Degree Programme (IBDP). While not all of our students will participate in the full program, many of our students will participate in IB classes, and ALL of our students will benefit from the philosophy of education it brings. This is a curriculum that truly puts students at the center. Further, it elevates the overall academic quality of Beaumont from the perspective of colleges and universities. It is a factor that is strongly considered when they award acceptances and merit-based scholarships. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme enhances the advanced level of academic coursework offered at Beaumont School. This curriculum joins our long tradition of excellence in college preparatory classes and academic support that allows us to educate young women for life, leadership and service.
