It was one week ago that Beaumont announced that it was officially certified to offer students the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. How does this program differ from just teaching students in the global perspective? The International Baccalaureate Programme is and internationally recognized and validated program offered by the finest high schools across the globe. Students at Beaumont will be learning the same material that is being taught in IB schools in Paris, Abu Dhabi, Rome, London, Vienna, and countries around the world. It offers a curriculum that is validated across the globe offering a truly international view—not presenting material through our own international view.
Not all of our students will take the International Baccalaureate classes. However, every one of our students will benefit from the international perspective that this program offers. Our students will consider issues from multiple perspectives, understanding that people across the globe think differently, behave differently, and believe differently. This international and cultural focus is gives our students advanced critical thinking skills because they will analyze and evaluate issues, generate ideas and consider new perspectives. Beaumont students will be better prepared to be engaged, active global citizens.
