
This brochure outlines the various scholarship and financial aid opportunities available at Beaumont. Consideration for any award presupposes the applicants acceptance into the school. Final approval of all awards is the responsibility of the Administration. Filing deadline is March 1st.

**Please note: starred (**) scholarships require completion and filing of the Private School Aid Service Financial Aid Form, Beaumonts Filing Verification and/or a special scholarship application. All applications are available in the Admissions Office and must be returned by March 1st. Return the aid form to the Private School Aid Service and all other forms to Beaumont School.

Academic Scholarships, four half-tuition (1/2) and six third-tuition (1/3) are awarded to students achieving the highest scores on the November Scholarship Exams. Renewable annually based on academic performance.
** Beaumont Alumnae Scholarship is a partial tuition scholarship awarded to an incoming ninth grader AND an upperclassman demonstrating the greatest financial need. Must be daughters and/or granddaughters of Beaumont alumnae.
** The Ruth M. Ewald Merit Scholarship, offered in odd-numbered years, (Fall 2005) is a partial-tuition award given to an incoming ninth grader on the basis of financial need and performance on the Scholarship Exam. Renewal is based on continuing need and achievement (3.8 GPA or above).
** The Sister Margaret Ann Kelley Scholarship, honoring Beaumonts past president, is a partial-tuition scholarship awarded to an incoming ninth grader demonstrating financial need. Award is renewable on basis of continuing need.
** The Zlatoper-Lannie Scholarship is offered in even- numbered years (Fall 2006) for academic merit and odd-numbered years (Fall 2005) based on financial need. Established by Ann and Joseph M. Zlatoper in honor of their daughter Joanne Zlatoper-Lannie.
** The Dorothy Duffin Ferrara Scholarship is awarded to an incoming ninth grader with financial need who is a member of the Catholic church and a graduate of a Catholic elementary school.
The Fitzpatrick Scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman who places in the top 25 on the fall entrance exam. Preference will be given to students involved in community service and athletics.
** The JEC Scholarship is a partial-tuition scholarship offered in even-numbered years (Fall 2006) to an incoming ninth grader demonstrating financial need. Award is renewable on basis of continuing need.
** The Jane Morrissey Memorial Scholarship, initiated by family and friends as a tribute to this Beaumont alumna, is a renewable award to an incoming ninth grader from St. Ann, Gesu, St. Gregory or St. Dominic and is based on school involvement, school spirit and financial need.
** The Don & Clare Schuele Alumnae Scholarship is an annual renewable award to an incoming ninth grader OR current student on the basis of financial need and academic standing. The student must be a lineal descendant of an alumna of Beaumont School.
** The Sloat Scholarship, funded by the Edward and Betty Sloat Foundation, is a full-tuition award given to an incoming ninth grade minority student, preferably Catholic, who demonstrates financial need. Award is renewable on basis of continuing need. Partial scholarships are also available.
** The Sister St. John Scholarship, established by relatives of Sister St. John in gratitude for her service in Catholic education, is awarded to incoming ninth graders demonstrating financial need. Preference given to applicants of Irish heritage who are members of the Catholic Church and have graduated from a Catholic elementary school.
** The Sister Ritamary Welsh, OSU Scholarship, is awarded to an incoming freshman (next available Fall 2006) based on financial need and is renewable based on continuing need. It was established by Peter and Rita Murphy Carfagna '71 in the name of Beaumont's current President, an alumna of the Class of 1963.
The Spirit Award, funded by Beaumonts Student Council, is given to an incoming ninth grader in recognition of exceptional involvement in her school, community or church.

The Susan Blakeley Scholarship, in memory of this Beaumont Mathematics Department faculty member, is awarded to a sophomore geometry student showing significant improvement as selected by the Math Department. Applied to junior year tuition.
** The Gladstone-Kreuzman Scholarship: annual award to a current Beaumont student who is a member of the Catholic church and whose financial need prohibits her from continuing at Beaumont. Renewable based on need.
Honors Scholarships: awards to students completing three years at Beaumont with First Honors (3.8 G.P.A.or above). Applied to senior year tuition.
** Key Bank Young Women's Entrepreneurship Scholarship is awarded to a junior with particular promise and interest in a career in business who demonstrates financial need. Applied to senior year tuition.
** The Virginia Vince Nolan Memorial Scholarship is a renewable award to a current freshman with financial need who demonstrates aptitude in the area of physical education at Beaumont. Award applies to sophomore tuition.
**The Don & Clare Schuele Alumnae Scholarship (see Incoming Freshmen Scholarships)
The Charles R. Sutherland Family Scholarship is awarded to a sophomore who, as a freshman, has demonstrated academic proficiency and the qualities of leadership and service. Renewable based on continuing performance.
The Henry Trenkamp Jr. Fine Art Scholarship is awarded to a promising junior art major selected by the art teachers and applied to senior year tuition.
** The Diane Horvath Wick Scholarship for Artistic Promise is awarded to a sophomore or junior demonstrating both financial need and artistic promise as determined by the Fine Arts faculty. Applied to junior or senior year tuition.
** The Sister M. Andre Award is given to a current Beaumont student active in the studio art program, recommended by the art teachers on the basis of outstanding performance and financial need.
The NVK Visual Arts Award is given to an art student whose main interest is visual arts and who exhibits talent in this area. G.P.A. of 2.5 or above required.

Assistance Grants are available through Beaumonts Campaign Endowment and the Fathers Club. Applicants must complete the Private School Aid Service Financial Aid Form and Beaumonts Filing Verification.
Work Study Stipends. A Student can earn from $300 to $600 to be applied toward her tuition. First consideration will be given to students demonstrating financial need. Interested students must complete and return a Beaumont Work Study Application by June 1st.
A Sisters Tuition Reduction is automatically awarded to families with more than one daughter attending Beaumont at the same time. A $600 reduction is given for the second daughter and a $900 discount for the third.
Catholic Endowment Trust Grants are from $250 to $500 awards given by the Diocese of Cleveland to students of limited financial means who desire a Catholic high school education. Call the Diocesan Education Office (696-6525) for details. Deadline: March1st.
Scholarships/Financial Assistance are offered by some parishes to member families. Contact parish pastor about available support.
