Come explore Beaumont!

Thank you for your interest in Beaumont School!  We are delighted to welcome you to our Fall Virtual Open House. The all-girl, culturally diverse learning environment encourages every student to thrive academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, recognizing their role as citizens in a global society. Please take your time to explore our school community via the videos below, then complete your Prospective Student Profile if you haven’t already done so.  Our Admissions Team is only a phone call or email away, so please contact us with any questions at 216-325-1661 or admissions@beaumontschool.org.

Ursuline Heritage Combined with a Global Academic Worldview

The teachings of St. Angela Merici, foundress of the Ursuline Sisters, are the model and inspiration for how our young women see themselves and develop into leaders in the community and in the world.  As the only all-girls' high school in Cleveland offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Beaumont combines a rigorous, college-preparatory academic program with a global point of view that is considered by universities to be the gold standard of education today.

Beginning in their first year, Beaumont students explore tenets of the IB Diploma Programme – Creativity, Activity and Service – throughout their coursework.  They engage in inquiry-based processes that inspire informed risk-taking, leadership, and principled exploration of diverse viewpoints.

See more about our Ursuline tradition and the value of an IB-based education below.

All-Girl Advantage

“We find that one hour a week of single-sex education benefits females: females are 7% more likely to pass their first year courses and score 10% higher in their required second year classes than their peers attending coeducational classes.”  Booth, Cardona-Sosa, and Nolen, "Do Single-Sex Classes Affect Exam Scores? An Experiment in a Coeducational University"

Girls take center stage at Beaumont School. As a member of the National Coalition of Girls' Schools, Beaumont is a living example of their research which tells us young women in single-gender schools have higher expectations, are challenged to achieve more, and are more likely to engage in activities that prepare them for the real world.

Hear from our students and alumnae about what the All-Girl Advantage means to them.

Esteemed Faculty & Signature Programs

Beaumont’s faculty are second to none.  With an average tenure of 17 years, our faculty are committed to Beaumont’s mission of educating women for life, leadership and service.  Over 80% of our faculty have advanced degrees, with 9% having earned doctorates.  Small class sizes (16 students on average) means your daughter will be more than a face in the classroom.

With signature programs like Academic Scholars, Studio Art, Veale Youth Entrepreneurship, and Pre-Engineering, Beaumont students are offered many opportunities for academic advancement tailored to their interests and goals.

Student Life & Athletics

With 30 extracurricular clubs and 11 varsity sports, there is truly something for every girl at Beaumont.  Formative to an Ursuline education is the integrated spiritual individual (connecting mind, body, and spirit) who will have a positive impact on society.  Through the service opportunities, clubs, and athletics that complement our academic and faith development, Beaumont seeks to educate the whole person.   Go Blue Streaks!

Caring Community

At Beaumont, our students are bolstered by a community of counselors, alumnae and educators who encourage them to reach new heights.  Beginning in freshman year, students receive four years of guidance moving into college counseling.  Our Academic Support Services team is like no other, because no other independent high school in the region offers services like ours for students on an IEP.  With over 8,000 alumnae near and far, Beaumont students always have a sister cheering them on, even if from a distance.
