AlumnaeTestimonials: The Return on a Beaumont Education

Faculty and staff hear back from Beaumont graduates regularly. Here are some of the comments we've received recently regarding how Beaumont prepares students for college and beyond.

"I just wanted to thank you so much for teaching me how to write. I am currently in the advanced level freshman english class at St. Louis University and getting high As on all of my papers. My professor pulled me aside after class last week and asked me where I learned to write, and how I was one of the only students in my class who actually knew how to construct a thesis statement. She even recommended me as a candidate to pursue a minor in English to the head of the English department here, and my friends all ask me to help them edit their papers for their classes. I know for a fact I would not be able to write without your class and the rest of the English department a Beaumont, so thank you so much for that. I really appreciate it."

"Hope everything at Beaumont is going well. I just wanted to let you know that I am taking physics this semester at Miami University and I am remembering all the lessons I learned last year in your physics class! Everything I learned is definitely helping me in this college physics course. I hope to stop by Beaumont soon and say hello"

"I hope you are both having a great quarter so far!  I just wanted to update you on how I’m doing at OSU. I took Biology this semester and I just wanted to thank both of you for preparing me so well for the college level class.  I got an A this semester because I already knew the material so well from the classes I took with you both! I hope you both have a great Christmas break!"

"Our daughter, at the University of Miami of Ohio, recently sent us this text: Beaumont prepares you like no other to write papers. Thank you so much for sending me there because if not, I'd be struggling big time. So many girls on my floor are having difficult times writing papers for classes. These are the texts any parent wants to receive. Please spread our gratitude."

"I just received my first college term paper back. It was a nine page exploratory essay comparing the works of three authors. I am pleased to say, I got an A and I SWEAR it was because of your class. The teacher was surprisingly impressed with my use of transitions, correct MLA format, and flow throughout the paper. She also commented that my proofreading and revising was superb. I could not be happier with the education I received from Beaumont's English department, especially your class. I hope all is well at the big B and I cannot thank you enough times for teaching me how to write and successfully preparing me for college. I was the only one in my class of 23 that received an A on the paper."

"Beaumont School taught me the the importance of discipline and hard work to achieve my goals. I was prepared for the challenges set in front of me at Duquesne... because of the value and work ethic I learned through the teachers and faculty at Beaumont. I can proudly state that Beaumont School paved the way for my successful completion as a Doctor of Physical Therapy."

"I am having a great time in Pittsburgh at Carnegie Mellon, though I do miss Beaumont a lot!! My first college test was for building physics (it’s all about lighting and thermal) and I studied really hard and got an A! Are the seniors enjoying physics? They should because you are awesome and the class is awesome!"

"I just thought I would let you know that I just received my first grade for my college writing paper and was the only person who got a 100%. [My professor] said my thesis was engaging and focused. She also said my paper could be developed into a larger research paper because I had great development and arguments. I just wanted to say thanks for all of your help."
