Take Your HSPT at Beaumont

Register your student to take the HSPT at Beaumont this fall and consider staying for a Parent Information Session with our leadership team.

Beaumont encourages 8th-grade students to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on campus on one of the dates below. To be considered for an academic scholarship, students must take the HSPT at Beaumont or another high school. We do also accept other entrance exams, including the OLSAT and the ISEE, as a part of the Beaumont application, but these are not qualifying tests for scholarship. HSPTs are $20, payable via credit card at time of registration.

Saturday, October 10, from 9 am - 12 pm

Students should arrive by 8:45 am for the 9 am start time. Feel free to dress casually. Please bring two non-mechanical #2 pencils, a water bottle, and snacks if you’d like. Families will receive a reminder email before testing.

While students test, parents and guardians are welcome to attend an information session in Beaumont’s Student Commons. During this session, you’ll hear directly from our Admissions Team and key school leaders, learn more about our academic programs and extracurricular offerings, and receive important details on financial aid. Information sessions are the perfect place to bring any and all of your questions!

An entrance exam is required to apply.

Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend the information session that takes place while students are testing. During this session, you’ll hear directly from our Admissions Team, learn more about our academic programs and extracurricular offerings, and receive important details on financial aid. This session is a key part of the testing day experience, and you won’t want to miss it!

The mission of the Merici Center for Success is to inspire and enable eligible students to participate in a Catholic education and to include students, to the extent possible, with the necessary services and supports to provide equitable access to the curriculum and extra-curricular activities regardless of their challenges while ensuring high expectations are maintained for all students.

In addition to general Admissions procedures, students seeking admittance to the Merici Center for Success should register for the October 25 HSPT date at Beaumont School. Registration for the test will include an upload of current documentation, including Individual Education Plan (IEP), Evaluation Team Report (ETR), 504, and/or other formal plans. Students must register for the test and upload documents by October 12. Beaumont’s student support team will review the uploaded documentation in the order it is received and determine if Beaumont can meet the student’s needs. This will be communicated to families in a timely manner. Please note that approval to continue the admissions process does not guarantee admission.
