Beaumont won a share of the North Coast League division titles in each of final two years of the league’s existence (2018-19 and 2019-20) and coach Derrick Russell was tabbed as the North Coast League NCL Coach of the Year after the conference’s final season.
Recently, Carly Perusek ’20 and Lydia Gattozzi ’21 both surpassed the 1,000-point mark during their careers to join Mary Browne ’83, Eileen Wittman ’99 and Annie Bova ’12 as the five players in program history to reach the mark.
Gattozzi is a Canisius College commit who became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,496 points.
She was one of six members of the class of 2021 who went on to play collegiate basketball, five of whom were recognized with all-district accolades after either their junior or season seasons.
Annie Bova ’12 graduated as the all-time leading scorer at Beaumont. Annie went on to play at University of Mount Union. She was first team all-Ohio Athletic Conference, tied for most three-pointers made in a game, first for most free throws made in a game, and helped lead the Purple Raiders to an Ohio Athletic Conference title and thus a trip to the NCAA Tournament as a senior.
