Softball

Making its Beaumont debut in the late 1970s, softball became a fast favorite among students thanks to the leadership of beloved coaches such as Ms. Mary Grimaldi and Mr. Gary Bill.

Initially a slow pitch team until permanently making the switch to fast pitch in the 1996 season, the team quickly found success with the new way of play. The program won its first district championship in 1997 and advanced to the regional semifinal. The Blue Streaks won their second district championship in 2002, again reaching the regional semifinals and in the following years made two district final appearances and five district semifinal appearances.

In 2015, Beaumont softball coached by Mr. Rich Nicholson, went the furthest it had gone in postseason play by reaching the regional final game after winning a third district championship.

The softball Blue Streaks continue to impress on the diamond and ended the 2021 season with a winning record while outscoring the opposition 143-109 in 17 games played. The season capped with Christina Dalton ’21 making her college commitment to continue her career with the Division II Ursuline College Arrows.
