About the School
Beaumont School is an all-girls Catholic high school in the Ursuline tradition, educating women for life, leadership, and service. Located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, it serves approximately 300 students in grades 9 through 12 and employs about 80 full-time faculty and staff. The average student/teacher ratio is 10:1. Beaumont offers 10 varsity sports, seven national honor societies, a renowned performing and visual arts program, countless service opportunities, and over 30 clubs. The Ursuline Tradition
Founded in 1850 by the Ursuline Sisters, Beaumont School is the oldest school in the Diocese of Cleveland and the oldest all-girls secondary school in Ohio. The values of the Ursuline sisters are as strong now as they were 176 years ago and include a steadfast commitment to the education of women as a right, an obligation, and the path to a better world; a fierce adherence to Catholic social justice principles and service to others; and an uncompromising focus on academic excellence coupled with compassionate supports.

The campus
Beaumont is situated on 21 acres, and the campus is known for its natural beauty including a canopy of trees, Lake Garda, and a courtyard where girls gather to study, meet with teachers, relax, and spend time together. The campus was originally a private estate, which included a 65-room mansion and aviary surrounded by a stone wall. The wall is integral to one of the many traditions that captures the spirit of the school: at the end of senior year, girls “jump over the wall” as a symbol of their growth and readiness to take on the world!
While the natural beauty of the campus has not changed, there have been many improvements made over the years to the facilities including the addition of a Spiritual Life Center, a STEM wing including 8 science labs, and a turf field, new kitchen, new dining hall and the Merici Center for Success, which provides academic support.
Academics
A college preparatory school, Beaumont is the only all-girls school in greater Cleveland to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. The IB program is an internationally recognized academic program known for its rigor, real-world application, research and cultivation of student voice. Other signature programs include Academic Scholars; Merici Center for Success, an integrated four-year program of education support for students with learning differences; pre-engineering; and the Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum. Beaumont’s Studio Art program is another hallmark of the school with many alumnae going on to succeed at the highest levels in the industry. Beaumont has a 100% college acceptance rate, and graduates routinely receive meaningful merit-based financial awards. Beaumont School is a member of the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools and is accredited by the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association and the International Baccalaureate Organization. Beaumont is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Our Next President
Beaumont is searching for a visionary and inspirational mission-driven leader – a passionate advocate for the Ursuline tradition of education – who will harness the momentum generated by our 175th anniversary, record fundraising, campus plan, and exceptionally talented leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of successful fundraising and administrative experience combined with a deep appreciation for the work of classroom teachers and the kind of student-centered culture that supports learning and growth. This leader is skilled at strategy implementation, understands the context in which independent schools operate in Ohio, and is prepared to focus on increasing enrollment, fundraising, and the long-term sustainability of the school.
The Position
The President is the chief executive of the school and has ultimate responsibility for every aspect of the school including finance, fundraising, operations, human relations, mission integration, marketing and communication, enrollment, operations and facilities. The President works closely with the Principal on academics, curriculum, and mission alignment. The President is the overall leader and facilitator of the community of faith and bears ultimate responsibility for the integration of faith and culture within Beaumont School. The President reports to the Board of Directors and serves at the behest of the Board. The President is accountable to the Board of Directors for the fulfillment of the strategic goals and policies.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Mission and Catholic Identity
- Ensure the Ursuline tradition in the daily life of the school.
- Lead in ways that reflect Ursuline identity and values:
- Respect for the uniqueness of its individual community members and promotes the development of the whole person
- Intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, pursuit of academic excellence, and a sense of responsibility for the common good
- Cultivation of students who are open-minded, entrepreneurial, intellectual risk takers, caring, principled, reflective, and well-balanced

Fundraising
- Ensure the long-term sustainability of the school through fundraising, enrollment growth, and endowment growth, along with sound financial practices, systems and oversight.
- Continue and complete the Heart of Beaumont campaign.
- Work with the Director of Advancement and relevant committees to plan and execute the primary fundraising gala for the school.
- Enthusiastically and consistently cultivate relationships with donors, alumnae, parents, stakeholders, and other potential benefactors.
Finance
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and cashflow to ensure fiscal responsibility and long-term viability.
- Partner with the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Enrollment through an annual budgetary process including setting of tuition, revenue projections, expense allocations, financial aid/scholarship awards. Maintain fidelity to the budget and keep the Board appraised of any budgetary adjustments.
- Partner with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Committee to ensure the Board has appropriate and timely information.
Strategy Development
- In partnership with the Board of Directors, craft and articulate a clear vision for the school's future, aligning with Ursuline values and the evolving needs of the community.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve long-term goals, including academic excellence, spiritual growth, and financial sustainability.
Leadership
- Provide effective management and leadership to the school's administrative functions, including academic affairs, student services, finance, human resources, and facilities.
- Mentor and support faculty and staff, encouraging professional growth and excellence.
- Effectively partner with the Board of Directors to ensure sound governance and the long-term sustainability of the school
Marketing and Communication
- Spearhead marketing initiatives to promote the school, attract and retain students, and increase visibility within the broader community.
- Utilize a variety of platforms and strategies to showcase the school's strengths and unique offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local parishes, diocesan offices, community leaders, and other educational institutions.
- Leverage these connections to enhance the school's presence and influence within the community.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education and Experience
- Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate)
- Relevant executive leadership experience
- Demonstrated success in fundraising and major gift experience
- Demonstrated financial capability and oversight, knowledge of strong financial planning, operations and budget/financial skills
- Strong analytical skills, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Motivated leader who can make decisions and manage time well

Compensation and location
