Coach Award

Coach Jim Dunne

Coach Jim laid the foundation as the first coach of Beaumont’s soccer program with heart, humility, and a deep commitment to his players. Beginning in 1989, Coach Dunne took on a young and largely inexperienced team and, alongside his wife Laura, built not just a competitive squad but a culture of growth, resilience, and belief. In just four seasons, he guided those first-year players to a remarkable third-round playoff appearance, including a dramatic double-overtime shootout victory over Chagrin Falls. More than wins and losses, Coach Dunne’s legacy is found in the confidence he instilled in every player, the love he showed for the game, and the lasting impact he had on the lives of the young women he coached.
