175 YEARS STRONG: Beaumont Birthday Bash Raises Record-Breaking $750,000

On a beautiful summer evening on June 5, the Beaumont community gathered to celebrate more than a milestone anniversary. The Beaumont Birthday Bash was a joyful tribute to 175 years of educating young women in the Ursuline tradition – and a powerful testament to the enduring strength, generosity, and spirit of the Beaumont family.

Alumnae, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, students, Ursuline Sisters, trustees, and friends returned to campus to honor Beaumont’s remarkable legacy while investing in its future. Together, they celebrated the generations of women whose lives have been transformed by a Beaumont education and reaffirmed their shared commitment to the generations still to come.

The evening opened with a welcome from Board Chair Dorothy Russo Moulthrop ’91, followed by an opening prayer from Ursuline Sisters President Sister Laura Bregar. One of the evening’s most memorable moments came when rising seniors Alexis Belser ’27 and Sofia Kohl ’27 shared heartfelt reflections on the impact Beaumont has had ontheir lives. Speaking about friendship, faith, academic challenge, and personal growth, they reminded guests that Beaumont’s greatest legacy is not found only in its history, but in the lives being shaped every day.

President Wendy Hoke built on that message, noting that the celebration was not simply about honoring the past but about investing in the future. “Tonight, we celebrate 175 years of
extraordinary history – but even more importantly, we invest in the students and teachers of Beaumont. Together, we ensure that every young woman who walks through our doors has access to exceptional learning, dedicated educators, and the opportunities that help her become who she is meant to be.” The energy continued with an extraordinary outpouring of generosity during the
Raise the Paddle appeal, and concluded with gratitude for Beaumont’s generous sponsors, volunteers, and Board of Directors, along with special recognition of the Ursuline Sisters in attendance.
Guests then joined in a celebratory toast as a four-tier birthday cake was unveiled, moving to the beautiful courtyard which provided a fitting finale to a memorable evening.

This milestone celebration was made possible through the leadership and generosity of presenting sponsors Jack and Jeanette Walton. Special recognition also goes to event co-chairs Mary Tinker Amjad ’86 and Lucy Todaro P’26, whose year-long vision, creativity, and dedication – alongside an outstanding committee of volunteers – brought this extraordinary celebration to life.  Throughout the evening, Beaumont Student Ambassadors warmly welcomed guests, serving as gracious hosts and exemplifying the hospitality and spirit that define the Beaumont experience. Beyond the celebration itself, the Birthday Bash achieved a remarkable milestone, raising more than $750,000 a record-breaking total to support Beaumont’s students, faculty, and future. The extraordinary generosity of those in attendance reflects the deep belief our community holds in Beaumont’s mission and ensures that future generations of young women will continue to flourish in the Ursuline tradition.
