FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CLEVELAND HTS., OH (Nov. 3, 2026) –The Beaumont School Board of Directors announced today the appointment of Elizabeth Edmondson as the school’s next President, effective July 1, 2027. Edmondson currently serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Principal at the school.

Board Chair Dorothy Moulthrop, PhD '91 shared, "Elizabeth is an accomplished and mission-driven leader with a deep commitment to forming young women for lives of faith, purpose, and service. The Board of Directors and the search committee are confident that Elizabeth’s proven leadership and extensive experience make her exceptionally well-suited to lead Beaumont into the future."

Following a comprehensive search process, the Board unanimously selected Edmondson. Since joining Beaumont in 2025, she has advanced academic excellence, faculty development, and enrollment growth. She broadened the International Baccalaureate initiative to include more students and has supported the school’s philanthropic efforts.

Edmondson brings more than two decades of leadership experience in Catholic and independent school education. Prior to Beaumont, she served in numerous leadership roles at Gilmour Academy, including Chief Academic Officer and Dean of Faculty and Curriculum Development. Through these roles, she has led strategic planning efforts, accreditation processes, and philanthropic partnerships.

"Elizabeth brings a rare combination of vision, intellect, compassion, faith, and operational expertise," said board member Sr. Laura Bregar, President of the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland. "Just as importantly, she understands and loves Beaumont. She has built trusted relationships across our community and embraces St. Angela Merici's call to create community wherever she goes. The Ursuline sisters are confident that Beaumont's mission and future will be in good hands under her leadership."

In August, current President Wendy Hoke announced her decision to leave Beaumont School in June of 2027.

Reflecting on her appointment, Edmondson said, "Beaumont has become far more than the institution I serve. It has become a community whose mission I feel deeply called to advance. I am honored by the trust placed in me by the Board and grateful for the opportunity to serve this remarkable school. Together, we will build on Beaumont's strong foundation, continue to empower young women to lead lives of faith, courage, and service, and ensure that Beaumont thrives for generations to come."
