FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Beaumont School is proud to announce the appointment of Mary Carney Sayre ’06 as its new Director of Mission Integration. As an accomplished Catholic educator, experienced leader, and passionate advocate for student development and community formation, Mary brings nearly 15 years of experience to this critical leadership position.
“Mary brings both her passion for our Ursuline mission and her deep experience as an educator to this vital leadership role at Beaumont,” said President Wendy A. Hoke. “From the start, I saw how Mary’s thoughtful understanding of the Ursuline charism — and the way it’s shaped her own life — would profoundly impact our community. Her vision, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the education and empowerment of young women make her uniquely suited to guide Beaumont’s Ursuline mission into its next chapter.”
As a member of President Hoke’s Leadership Team, Sayre will lead formation programs for adults and collaborate with and oversee Campus Ministry. She will lead Beaumont’s efforts to keep the Ursuline mission and charism of love, service, social justice, compassion, and courage at the heart of all faculty and student experiences. She will develop and lead formation programs; plan retreats and liturgical events; spearhead service and justice initiatives; and integrate spiritual life more deeply across departments and constituencies. Her goal is to make Ursuline values not just visible, but vibrantly alive in the daily life of Beaumont.
“I am deeply honored and thrilled to return to Beaumont as the Director of Mission Integration,” said Sayre. “To return to my alma mater, a place that has shaped generations of women in my own family, including my mother, sister, and now my niece, it is so meaningful and is a testament to the legacy Beaumont continues to foster in our greater community. I truly believe that each person brings unique gifts, and my hope is to learn about those gifts and help nurture them through intentional reflection, prayer, service, connection, and shared purpose rooted in our Ursuline identity.”
A graduate of Loyola University Maryland, Sayre began her career in service through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and most recently served as Senior Director of Student Life at Saint Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland.
Reflecting on her own Beaumont journey, she shared a personal memory: “My senior superlative was ‘Most Likely to Teach at Beaumont.’ It has always been a dream of mine to work here, and I am so excited that the dream is becoming a reality.”
